Let your doorbell scare away porch pirates.
Using Vivint’s Proprietary Smart Sentry™ AI technology, the Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro notifies you of package deliveries and lets package thieves know they’ve been spotted. It doesn’t just capture crime, it actively helps prevent it.
You can’t protect it if you can’t see it.
The Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro helps you see it all. With industry-leading optics, our wireless doorbell camera provides more effective porch protection than traditional video doorbells. Its 180° x 180° field of view is the tallest and widest view offered in a doorbell camera, letting you see packages placed right under the doorbell without losing the faces of tall visitors. With 1080p HDR resolution and infrared night vision, you get a clear view of everything outside your door at any hour.
Answer your door from anywhere.
Smart Detection recognizes visitors on your porch. And with the wireless doorbell built-in two-way talk, the Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro lets you speak to visitors even when you’re away. Through the Vivint App, you can open the door for anyone from anywhere. You’ll always know who’s there and you can greet them whether you’re home or not.
Save all the important moments with Vivint Playback.
Vivint Playback™ upgrade adds 24×7 recording to the doorbell camera experience. Video doorbell recordings upload to the Vivint Smart Drive (additional purchase required) to avoid crushing your internet connection. And since it all integrates into one smart home system, you can view recordings from the Vivint App.
Thanks to the continuous recording abilities of the Vivint Smart Drive, you can also create your own individual video clips at any time. These clips may be up to five minutes long. You can then either download the clips or create a link to share with others. For example, if a crime occurred in your neighborhood and your camera picked up some activity, you can share clips from your camera directly with authorities.
Doorbell Camera Smart Detection records only (and all of) what matters.
Unlike other video doorbells, Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro’s visitor detection distinguishes people and packages from passing cars, dancing shadows, or waving branches. Real visitors activate Vivint Smart Clips™ recordings that don’t stop until the action does. Nothing will ever go unnoticed if you have a wireless doorbell. They’re then saved for 14 days to give you time to catch up on what you’ve missed.
Keep Track in the Vivint Smart Home Mobile App
Our user-friendly Vivint Smart Home App connects directly to your Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro and other Vivint devices. At any time, you can open the Vivint Smart Home App to check out the live feed of your camera, view your Event Timeline of motion detections, protect delivered packages, speak with visitors, unlock the door and more. A doorbell camera system gives you all the features and more. Turn on push notifications in the app to receive instant updates when a package is delivered, or someone is at your door. The smartphone app can be especially helpful for users with mobility issues, allowing them to talk to visitors through their speaker while they make their way to the door. The app is user-friendly and attractive to users, as it boasts an average rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars. Download the Vivint Smart Home App for convenient use on any of your Apple or Android devices.
If you’re a smart speaker user, you can also access your Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro using just your voice. Your Vivint products will integrate smoothly into your Amazon or Google device, allowing you to check your live stream or turn on Smart Sentry™ package protection hands-free.
Create Custom Actions That Integrate with Other Vivint Products
For homes utilizing other Vivint Security products, the Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro integrates into the system seamlessly. By using the Vivint Smart Home App, you can apply Custom Actions to your Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro that will connect your doorbell to all the other devices in your home, providing an increased level of security.
For example, a Custom Action can direct the Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro to begin recording and emitting a deterrent chime whenever your Vivint home security alarm goes off. You could also set your porch lights to come on when your doorbell detects motion at night. There are a wide variety of Custom Actions to choose from, allowing you to choose as many added protections as you want.
Professional Hands-Off Installation
Every Vivint system gets professionally installed by qualified and licensed Smart Home Pros so you can focus on your life. Our installation teams will make sure your doorbell camera blends with your home exterior, links up seamlessly with your Vivint Smart Home system and works the way you want it to. It links directly into the wires used for your old doorbell, which means you don’t have to worry about changing batteries or keeping up with any maintenance. However, if you prefer to have your doorbell moved to another location for a better view, our Smart Home Pros can also use batteries to install your doorbell camera. Professional installation is included in the purchase price of the Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro, so all you have to do is set up an appointment and let us take care of the rest. Having your doorbell camera system professionally installed guarantees that your home is fully protected from day one.
The thin shape of the Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro makes it easy to fit into your front entrance. Its modern and minimalistic design blends seamlessly into the exterior of any home, and it doesn’t add the intimidating presence of a bulky security system.
Smart Motion Detection
Smart Detection can detect when visitors appear on your porch. Whether you’re at home or away, the Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro’s built-in two-way talk allows you to answer the door and speak to guests. Through the Vivint App, you can actually open the door for anyone from anywhere. You’ll always know who’s there and you can greet them whether you’re home or not.
Unlike other video doorbells, Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro’s visitor detection distinguishes people and packages from passing cars, dancing shadows, or waving branches. Real visitors will activate Vivint Smart Clips™ recordings that don’t stop until the action does. They’re then saved for 14 days to give you time to catch up on what you’ve missed.
Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro also provides the option to create a customized surveillance zone. You can set the specific parameters of your porch and yard that you want to be monitored with Smart Detection, which ensures that you will not be bothered by notifications from irrelevant motions.

So which doorbell camera is best for you?
It’s always tempting to go with the cheapest option- some systems start as low as $100- but just like with anything else, any time you go cheap, you give up quality. It’s a simple fact of life. The cheaper you go, the lower your camera quality, the fewer features available, the less reliable the system and the less likely it is that your doorbell camera is actually going to be there for you when you need it. And after all, what’s the point in having one at all if you can never really be sure if it’s going to be there for you when you have to have it?
Ok, so let’s not go cheap. Simple enough. Now ask yourself, what are you buying this system for? Do you just want a camera that lets you know who just rang your doorbell? That’s nice and all, but isn’t that what windows are for? Do you want to be able to speak to people who ring your doorbell? Again, great feature, but what about people who aren’t going to ring your doorbell? What about people who aren’t there for a friendly visit?
Package thieves who spend their days prowling the streets looking for unattended packages left behind by delivery drivers have become a major problem all over the world- FBI statistics indicate that at least 43% of Americans have been victims of package theft at some time in their lives, and the numbers have only increased in light of the rise in deliveries during the covid19 pandemic. Police across the country agree that while doorbell cameras can confirm thefts or even help identify thieves, most of them don’t deter them. That’s where Vivint comes in.
Vivint Doorbell Cameras Offers
Vivint doorbell cameras offer all the features of other cameras- two way communication, full 1080p HD video, customizable ring alarms, you name it- they also actively help deter porch pirates by activating a light and 65 decibel speaker when they detect someone approaching. This lets the potential thief know that not only is this home protected by Vivint’s award winning home security systems, but they’re also on camera- And simply knowing they’re on camera is often enough to send them looking for easier prey.
Vivint also features the tallest and widest camera of any commercially available security system, including night vision and 1080p resolution, meaning that when you need to see who is at the door, you can, day or night. Vivint doorbell cameras are also wired to your home’s electrical system, meaning you won’t ever lose connectivity due to low battery power, and you won’t be bothered with constant recharging or buying expensive new batteries.
Vivint also features the unique ability to allow you, the homeowner, to outline the zone you want protected by the security system, meaning you can intelligently designate the areas to be monitored- In other words, you can tell the camera to ignore the corner where Fluffy the cat sleeps, or the part of the street where the neighbor kid always rides his bike. Because let’s face it, you love your cat but do you want to get a notification every time he rolls over?
Vivint also offers 100% free installation through courteous, qualified installers who will come to your house at your convenience, set everything up, show you how to use it and probably help get dinner ready if you ask them. Couple that with state of the art equipment, a feature rich system customizable to almost anybody’s needs and Vivint’s optional round-the-clock monitoring service, allowing you to leave the security of your home in the hands of Vivint’s trained home security experts, and you have a home security system even the most formidable parcel-pilferers won’t be able to defeat.
Alright, what about playback capability?
Obviously you’ll want to be able to review your video in the event that something comes up missing, and Vivint offers that in spades. Some doorbell cameras only take a maximum of 20 second clips and often leave gaps in the footage- meaning the critical moment when you should be able to clearly see a thief’s face could be lost in the shuffle. Vivint on the other hand offers Smart Clips capability that can record up to 90 seconds uninterrupted, giving authorities more than enough time to make out a face on suspected package-nappers. And if you’re willing to go all-in, Vivint’s exclusive playback service offers 24/7 round the clock continuous security recording with event markers to make sure you don’t miss anything.
So in summary, it’s very simple- Vivint is the only company that offers package protection using both light and sound to deter potential box bandits, a 180 X 180 camera view in full 1080p high definition video, customizable package delivery notifications, person detection with notifications and recording, free installation, no long-term contracts and award winning customer service. That’s why Vivint was rated as “Best overall home security system” by US News in 2021.
Every Vivint system is unique to its owner, so it’s not practical to tell you how much a Vivint system costs. It’s really based on what your wants and needs are in a home security system, so on the low end you could pay as little as $30 a month. Vivint offers 100% free quotes on home security systems, so you have absolutely nothing to lose by calling 855.515.6320 or visiting https://vivint.security/ for more information. You won’t regret it.

You can also watch longer clips in fast forward by selecting an accelerated speed of 2X, 4X or even 8X.
6. Protect your packages.

When you turn on this feature, your Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro will start using Smart Sentry™ package protection using the red LED light and 65 dB speaker to monitor your delivery. If a porch pirate attempts to steal it, a chime will sound to catch their attention, and you will receive a notification immediately. You can quickly check your camera feed to see the offender’s face and speak to them through the two-way speaker or send the video clip directly to police.
7. Put Smart Sentry™ on a timer.
When you’ll be away from your phone for a lengthier amount of time, such as overnight, turn on Smart Sentry™ for a set period to keep the LED light deterrent on. You can also set the chime to automatically sound when motion is detected in front of your door, letting potential intruders know they’ve been spotted.
8. Set up Custom Actions.
If you also use other Vivint Security products in your home, your Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro can be programmed to perform a Custom Action when conditions on other items are met. If you have Vivint sensors on your doors and windows, for example, you can create a Custom Action for the doorbell camera to turn on when a door or window is opened throughout the house. With these Custom Actions, you can pick up additional activities and crucial footage when you need it most.
