1. INSTALLATION
After purchasing your Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro, a Vivint technician will visit your home to set the device up for you. The Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro will take the place of your existing doorbell, and your technician will install it directly into your wiring. The entire installation process typically takes just 10–15 minutes. We'll take care of it all, free of charge.
2. SET UP
Use your Vivint Smart Hub or Vivint Smart Home App on your mobile phone to create a Vivint account and get familiar with the many features of your Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro.
3. CHECK OUT YOUR VIDEO QUALITY.
In your Vivint Smart Hub or Vivint Smart Home App, you can see the live view from your Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro. Our camera offers 1080p HDR streaming in real time with virtually no lagging. The camera lens also has a 180° × 180° field of view to capture every single inch of your porch or patio.
4. CHOOSE YOUR DOORBELL CHIME.
When someone rings your Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro, a chime will sound on your Smart Hub panel and smart phone, as well as any other additional Vivint devices you may have. We offer 5 different chime options, so you can pick the sound you like best.
5. VIEW YOUR EVENT TIMELINE.
Any time your Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro detects motion, it will record a Smart Clip™ for the entire length of the action. In your Vivint Smart Hub or Vivint Smart Home App, you can view a full list of motion clips from the day in the Event Timeline. All clips will be stored for up to 14 days.
6. PROTECT YOUR PACKAGES.
When a package is delivered to your front door, Smart Sentry™ will detect it and send a push notification to your Vivint App asking if you want to protect your package. When you turn on this feature, your Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro will start using Smart Sentry™ package protection using the red LED light and 65 dB speaker to monitor your delivery.
7. PUT SMART SENTRY™ ON A TIMER.
When you'll be away from your phone for a lengthier amount of time, such as overnight, turn on Smart Sentry™ for a set period to keep the LED light deterrent on. You can also set the chime to automatically sound when motion is detected in front of your door.
8. SET UP CUSTOM ACTIONS.
If you also use other Vivint Security products in your home, your Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro can be programmed to perform a Custom Action when conditions on other items are met. With these Custom Actions, you can pick up additional activities and crucial footage when you need it most.
